Does search look through every companion?

Yes. Search looks across the whole published library rather than only what is already on screen, and it matches names and titles as you type. In the app, search starts from the list you were looking at, such as Explore or Trending. Tap tags to narrow it — with several tags chosen, only AI characters that have all of them are shown — and switch between All, Female and Male.
