What are trial messages?

New accounts get a number of free messages a day on our own AI access, so you can try the app before connecting anything. Connecting your own OpenRouter account moves you onto that key’s allowance instead: 50 messages a day until you add 10 credits there, then 1,000 a day permanently. Usage always shows which limit applies to you right now, and who set it.
