Why does a reply say the connection was lost?

The internet connection was lost before your AI character finished writing the reply. The part that arrived is kept, with a note under it, so nothing is lost. On the latest reply, tap Continue and your AI character goes on writing from the point where its reply stopped. Continuing costs the same as any other message.
